PASSIVE

Passive voice

Passive voice adalah kalimat passive

Kalimat yang bisa di ubah menjadi passive hanya kalimat yang mengandung objek

• Simple present

Rumusnya : BE + V3

Example :

·         My mother cooks meals every morning (active)

Meals are cooked by my mother every morning (passive)

·         I go to school ( tidak bisa diubah menjadi passive karena tidak ada objek )

·         They drive a car to go to school ( active )

A car is driven by them to go to school (passive)

·         The man eats five humberger everyday ( active )

Five humberger are eaten by the man everyday ( passive )

·         Mary sends a letter every Monday (active )

A letter is sent by mary every Monday ( passive )

·         He steals my wallet ( active)

My wallet is stolen by him ( passive )

• Simple Past

         Rumusnya : WAS\WERE + V3

         Example :

·         She pointed this wall two weeks ago (active)

This wall was pointed by her two weeks ago (passive)

·         They cancelled  all flights because of rain (active)

All fights were cancelled by them because of rain (passive)

·         My mother cleaned the room yesterday ( active )

The room was cleaned by my mother yeserday ( passsive )

·         She planted there flowers a week ago ( active )

These flowers were planted by her a week ago ( passive )

•        Present continues (passive)

           Rumusnya :

                            (IS,AM,ARE) + BE ING + V3

          Example

·         My father is making a cup of coffee now ( active)

A cup of coffee is being made by my father now ( passive )

·         Some body is recording our conversation ( active )

Our conversation is being recordied by some body ( passive )

·         He is eating two plates of fredrice ( active )

Two plates of fredrice are being eaten by him ( passive )

·         The boys is drawing this wall ( active )

This wall is being drawn by the boy  ( passive )

• Past Continues (passive)

    Rumusnya : 

                        WAS\WERE + BEING + V3

    Example :

·         Somebody was cleaning the window ( active )

He window was being cleaned by somebody ( passive )

·         He was singing a rock song ( active )

A rock song was being sing by him ( passive )

·         My sisters was breaking the boys at 8 o’clock last nigt ( active )

The boys were being broken by my sister at 8 o’clock last nigt ( passive )

·         They were pointing the pictures ( active )

(+) The pictures were being pointed by them (passive )

(-) The pictures were not  being pointed by them

            (?) Were the pictures were being pointed by them? 

• Present Perfect

Rumusnya : HEVE\HAS + BEEN + V3

Example :

-          She has painted the wall  (active)

-          The wall has been panited by her (passive)

-          They have sent some books (active)

-          some books  have been sent by them (passive)

-          He has written a letter already (active)

-          A letter has benn written by him already (passive)

•  Present Perfect continous

Rumusnya : HAVE\HAS + BEEN BEING +V3

Example :

1.        The man has been eating the breakfast (active)

The being breakfast has been being eaten by the man (passive)

2.       He has been writting some mails since this morning (active)

Some mails have been being written by him since this morning (passive)

3.       They have been watching television for two hours (active )

      Television has been being watched by them for two hours (passive)

4.       The boy has been playing football since tis afternoon (active )

       Football has been being played by the boy since tis afternoon (passive)

•         Simple Future

Rumusnya :

·         WILL BE + V3

·         IS,AM,ARE + GOING TOBE + V3

Excample:

1.        He will eat some sandwiches (active)

-         Some sandwiches will be eaten by him ( passive )

-         Some sandwiches are going to be eaten by him ( passive )

2.       Joon will clean our room (active)

-         Our room will be cleaned by Joon ( passive )

-         Our room is going to be cleaned by Joon ( passive )

3.       The little boy will break this painting (active)

(+) This painting will be broken by the little boy( passive )

This painting is going to be broken by the little boy ( passive )

(-)This painting will not be broken by the little boy ( passive )
